The bet.
leveld is a career development platform that individuals pay $10 to $20 a month for. It has to be worth that with zero employers on it. Employers come last, once there is a pool of people worth showing them.
What we build by.
Worth it with no employers.
Every feature has to help someone who already has a job. If it only matters while you are job hunting, it does not get built.
One field until it works.
GRC engineering only. The ladder, the labs and the pay data are for one profession, written by people who do it. A second field comes when the first one is proven.
Paid from the first invite.
Beta members who would not pay tell us nothing about a paid product. The price on day one is the real price.
Collect only what we need.
No government IDs, no employer documents, no resumes we did not ask for. Your profile starts private and stays that way until you change it.
Nothing silent.
Signals on your profile are never edited or deleted; a dispute adds a new one with its reasoning. Every read of your profile is logged. Deleting your account deletes everything keyed to you.
Gates, not dates.
A phase ends when its numbers are met, not when a calendar says so. We do not ship the next thing until the current thing is paid for by the people using it.
The second leveld.
The first leveld, from 2024 to 2026, was a candidate-first hiring platform: resume telemetry, public employer accountability scores, blind screening, job matching across every industry. It wound down in 2026. The hard lesson was simple. A product that only pays off when employers show up is at the mercy of employers showing up.
Two things from it were worth keeping. The Professional DNA framework, 28 vectors across four domains, with append-only signals that a member can dispute. And Gary, the coach, which members used even when there was no job to apply for. Everything built for employers was retired.
This leveld starts where its founders work: GRC engineering. Tony spent 21 years in the Navy submarine force and most of his civilian career in GRC, including a Fortune 500 CMMC program. Jason has spent 20 years on the offensive side of security, which is the side the auditor never sees. The ladder and the labs come from the jobs they have held and hired for.
Not yet.
And then on members' terms.
There is no employer side of leveld today and nothing on the roadmap depends on one. If employers come later, it will be after there is a pool of members worth showing them, and no member's profile, scores or pay will ever be shown to anyone without that member's explicit consent.
Invite-only beta.
The first members come by invitation, one at a time, from the GRC engineering community. Invites open when the app is ready.
14 days of Active to start. Then Free, $10 or $20 a month. Nothing you make is ever deleted by a downgrade.
